Health Education for the Community - a proud tradition at RDNS
Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) is Australia's premier home healthcare service, providing nursing care and a huge range of specialist services to more than 7,500 clients across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula everyday.
Since the 1960s, we have delivered quality education and training to thousands of people working in a diverse range of settings, including schools, residential care facilities, nursing homes, hostels, municipal councils and community groups.
Today, a mobile team of educators and sessional teachers from the RDNS Helen Macpherson Smith Institute of Community Health continues this tradition of sharing its health expertise with the wider public.
Who can benefit from RDNS community health education?
You may be a school teacher who needs to know how to respond to severe allergic reactions in children; a worker in a residential care facility who has to manage pain in elderly clients; or a council worker who has clients with dementia.
Whatever your situation, the RDNS Institute offers an extensive range of education sessions specifically designed to meet your staff needs, roles and responsibilities. Sessions are delivered to your doorstep and run from a minimum of one hour up to a multi-day course. Fees are charged hourly and are inclusive of GST and any education materials.
