I am delighted to announce that after an extensive recruitment process, involving a number of high calibre candidates, Rosemary Hogan has been appointed as Executive General Manager, Client Services. Rosemary will commence with us on Monday 6 August 2007.
Rosemary brings to RDNS over 25 years of clinical nursing and management experience.
From 1979 to 1992 Rosemary gained her basic nursing and midwifery training and experience in Bendigo, moving to Royal Womens Hospital as Unit Manager, Delivery Suite, Frances Perry House in 1993, where she was responsible for the recruitment, retention, and training of midwives as well as liaising with and supporting medical and allied health staff.
In February 1996 she took up the role of Divisional Director (Nursing) Maternity Services at the Womens and Childrens Hospital, reporting to the CEO and requiring the application of a broad range of clinical, professional, financial, management and leadership skills.
Rosemary has gained experience in the private sector and from 2000 to the end of 2002 was the Deputy Director of Nursing at the Freemasons Hospital. During this time Rosemarys responsibilities included HR and EBA issues for over 600 nursing staff.
In January 2003, Rosemary accepted the position of Director of Nursing Services and Group Manager, Residential Services at St Vincents Hospital. Here Rosemary continued to play an active part in planning nursing recruitment strategies, managing budgets, meeting throughput targets and developing the hospitals clinical governance framework through reviewing clinical outcomes and processes.
Since October 2005 Rosemary has been Director, Health Service Development, at St Vincents, a broad role responsible for a range of strategic and operational directions.
Rosemarys qualifications include an Executive Masters in Business / Health Administration, Graduate Diplomas in Business and in Womens Health, and Certificates in Midwifery and Nursing.
I know that Rosemary is looking forward to spending time with many people and groups across RDNS as part of her orientation. Im sure you will join with me in welcoming her at that time.
