Haemophilia Care

What is it?

Haemophilia is a genetic disorder characterised by ineffective blood clotting, which leads to a tendency to bleed.

Our staff can help you by:

  • Monitoring health and providing advice
  • Teaching you and your family how to manage your haemophilia
  • Administering factor products and teaching how to administer them
  • Giving treatment which facilitates early discharge from hospital after surgery
  • Providing emotional support for you and your family
  • Working in partnership with your health care team.

Which staff can help?

We have several Haemophilia Resource Nurses based in each region.
