Constant Companions - in action
Royal District Nursing Service > How You Can Help Us > Ways to Donate > Constant Companions - in action

Some of the projects supported by Constant Companions include:

More nurses to care for elderly people like Bill

With growing numbers of elderly people needing nursing care, RDNS resources are stretched to the limit.

The monthly gifts received from our Constant Companions give us the financial security we need to employ additional nurses and care for more people.

Helping the Homeless

The RDNS Homeless Persons Program provides a multi-dimensional and holistic healthcare service to those who are destitute or homeless.  With gifts received from our Constant Companions, the Program is able to respond to increasing demand and provide not only nursing care but food and medical consumables.

Helping young people with chronic conditions

Constant Companions help provide young Cystic Fibrosis clients with home nursing and physiotherapy services. The program is the only one of its kind in Australia.

Plagued by lung infections, 14 year old Alysha once spent 132 nights in a year in hospital, many in isolation from other patients. Now with the help of Constant Companions an RDNS nurse visits Alysha to monitor her health, flush her portacath and take her blood, reducing her dependence on the hospital.

Become a Constant Companion and help RDNS care for even more people.
