How You Can Help RDNS
Royal District Nursing Service > How You Can Help RDNS

Every day, RDNS cares for over 8,500 people people who depend on us to maintain their health and independence, so they can remain living where they feel most comfortable at home.

Being a charity, we receive some government funding for our services, but every year, the gap between that funding and what we need to meet the communitys demand, gets bigger.

Consequently, we rely heavily on the community to support our work so we can continue to provide vital healthcare services to those in need.

Each month we:

Provide 44,870 hours of nursing care
Provide 2,209 hours of care to the homeless
Provide 28,930 hours of wound care
Provide 27,819 hours of care to people aged over 70
Travel 723,637 kilometres
Maintain 591 cars
Provided $3,687 in nutritional support to the homeless
