How is RDNS funded?
RDNS is an not-for-profit organisation that receives approximately 80% of its funding from Government. The balance of funding is raised by RDNS via a number of sources including fundraising activities such as appeals, sponsorship, bequests and gifts from philanthropic organisations.
What types of fundraising does RDNS engage in?
Fundraising Costs
We are acutely aware of the need to keep our fundraising costs to a minimum. We aim to be better than current industry standards (as reported by Givewell, a major Australian fundraising research institute) and we are always seeking ways to further reduce our costs.
How can I make a donation?
We accept donations made by cash, cheque and all major credit cards. You can make a donation:

- Via direct debit
- By telephone by calling (03) 9536 5222 during office hours. Please have your credit card ready
- By mail
- By fax

Is it safe to give my credit card details online?
Yes, RDNS' online donation page is operated by DONMAN who provide us with a secure online payment service.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes, RDNS has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status and therefore all donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible.
